The Fourth of July is a classic American holiday. In the peak of summer, it’s the perfect time to kick back, go camping, enjoy a couple of drinks and bask in the sun. Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort and Marina

The top of our list is the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort and Marina. We love this as an RV destination because of the plethora of activities available to its guests. It’s a perfect getaway for families, kids, and adults alike. They boast activities such as:

Camp Gulf RV Park

Another beach destination, but on the other side of the country this time. Travel to Destin, Florida, to stay at Camp Gulf Park. America’s Best Campground

If you are looking for a lot of variety from your destination, America’s Best Campground in Branson, Missouri, is the place for you. Located in southwestern Missouri, this campsite is loaded with amenities and activities for every age. Not only is the campsite itself bursting with fun 4th of July activities, but Branson is also one of the best places to be on the 4th. You can see shows such as Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede, an ABBA or Beach Boys Tribute band, Magic shows, dinner theatre shows, and more. 

 

Branson is also home to one of the larger lakes in Missouri, Tablerock Lake, just minutes from America’s Best Campground. You can rent a pontoon, cruise around the lake, watch fireworks at night and stop at some marinas for food and drinks.

Austin Lone Star RV Resort

D.H. Day Campground at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Michigan is one of the most surprisingly beautiful and tranquil places to stop in the United States. Nearby towns Frankfort, MI, and Traverse City, MI both have large 4th of July celebrations. D.H. Day Campground is a small, heavily wooded 88 site campground.
